Hilot as a form of Interactive Communication

Technically we teach Hilot is not massage and here in the academy we do not call Massage as Hilot but instead we call it as Pahid. So that is already given.
Now, in Hilot Pahid unlike massage we do not allow our patient to sleep compared to a regular massage that is quite relaxing Hilot Pahid is not.
Do not be mistaken that the pressure in Hilot Pahid is heavy or hard. We just only use moderate pressure. We do not want to create more trouble with our patient but instead we fix their problem rather than creating more injury. The pain you experience in Hilot Pahid is not because of the pressure that the provider is giving but it only means that the problem is being addressed. With constant repetition (orasyon) of the stroke, the pain will subside until it will be gone.
Hilot Pahid procedure is a form of conscious soul retrieval. It is believed that when a person goes to sleep, his/ her soul wonders away. But our purpose in doing Hilot Pahid is to pull back the wondering soul back to the patients body while awake.
As we talk about practicing hilot pahid through memory working on our experience, the Hilot Pahid session allows interactive communication between provider and receiver.
The whole Hilot Pahid session becomes a confirmatory consultation and at the same time as treatment.
Each stroke and manipulation we do to the body of our patient is a form of communication not only to the body parts but as well as to the emotional, mental, social and spiritual body of the receiver.
So again as i will emphasize, Hilot is not a Massage even we do massage there is a big difference between the two.
Hilot is an Interactive Communication as well as it is a Prayer in Action.

Hilot is giving Hope

People come to manghihilot to seek not only for a cure but also answers to their question about the situation that is happening into their life. Most of the practitioner of Hilot are uneducated without degree but people still seek for their help because the Professionals and the Educated have withdrawn their help to them because of the unexplainable situation that is happening to them.

I have come to many doctors already but those medical professionals can’t see and explain what is wrong with me.

But in fact, people who suffer from this mystical illness already have their own cure and this is where the Hilot Orasyon will take place.

Orasyon is literally mean Prayer. And Prayer is the natural ability of every individual to communicate with the Divine. In ancient times Prayers are directed to the Divinity, Nature Spirits and Ancestral Spirits which were collectively called as Anito. In modern times the Divinity has been called as the Diwata, a term we obtain through the Indian influence for Deva which pertains to the Divine. While Engkanto is a Spanish term which means enchanted that refers to the Nature Spirit and the Anito which now we termed for the Ancestral Spirits. Aside from communicating with the Divinity, Nature Spirit and Ancestral Spirit; prayer can also be directed in communicating with ones Higher Self such as our belief that each individual possess 7 souls.

When this happen, the Family of the Patient will come to a manghihilot to perform tawas diagnostic and the Pauli ritual. Pauli or Uwi ritual aims to call back the wondering soul back to its physical body. In doing this ritual, the Manghihilot will call to the wondering soul of the patient and communicate with it and comfort the soul and make it secured that it will not leave its physical body.  As the soul agree to come back, the manghihilot will perfom pagpag to tap away some negative and dirty energy that the soul have accumulated or gathered as it wonders away and afterwards will do the padampi ritual.

Need help with pregnancy

I received a private message on our Facebook Page Hilot Academy of Binabaylan asking for help with regards to Pregnancy. Seriously i responded that if you need help with regards to pregnancy at least have a girlfriend, get married, make love and soon your wife will get pregnant. But this certain person responded that her Girl Friend is already pregnant and what he want to inquire is to have ABORTION.

We want AbortionWrong Answer!

Hilot Academy don’t do Abortion. We teach our Student or even Patient to be responsible into their own life.  We maintain and sustain life, and doing abortion is not our stuff.

Safe Sex and Responsible Parenting is what we advocate in Hilot Academy. Instead of Abortion, we might promote male castration or vasectomy so that every time a male had a coitus with female they will not have a problem with pregnancy. Getting pregnant is a sacred gift of the Divine so as having sexual intercourse provides a bliss to each individual. Coitus or Sexual Intercourse is a celebration of Love, the Unifying of Body, Soul and Spirit of two individuals who partake the Divine Power of Co Creation.

Giving Hilot to our Society

As Hilot Binabaylan we have also the responsibility to heal our society by engaging with them as a Community. This is our work as Hilot Binabaylan, we are bridging the Gap from old to new, and fill up again what is missing in people lives as they have forgotten who they are due to the Colonial exploitation we experience either in the past or present. As Hilot Binabaylan we don’t see people in their gender identity but we see them as a Soul that has the sacred spark of the Divine.

Last year we were able to rise up and have communicated to the people about how our Filipino Ancestors give a high regards to the LGBT people in the past by participating the Metro Manila Pride March and deliver a solidarity message of Peace. And this year we will rise again to give healing again to the LGBT people in the Philippines.

Drying Angat Dam

drying angat damSince June 10, 2019 we noticed that the water supply interruption and everyday from that day it becomes worst. At first it only has 12 hours or no water. Then later on we are given water supply by 6 PM to 9AM. Then it was announce that water ration will only be given by 1am to 9am. But by June 23 up to now, there is no Total Drop of water in the faucet.  The reason for this water shortage is because our Water reserviour is drying up and now on its critical level.

Trees bend down and some houses been affected. Many people have prayed for that rain to come and we ask that rain to be redirected to Angat Dam, Ipo Dam and La Mesa Dam which is the Water reserviour of Central and National Capital Region. Since it was not only us here in Bulacan are affected but also mostly of Metro Manila.

From June 20 up to this day, we continue to pray for the rain to come. And last night before going to bed there is rain. And as open up my phone i see post of floods that brought by these rain on different places. I wonder why these are happening? There is rain but it does not fall on the right place? I learned that our government is doing cloud seedings but still the mind of Nature is way far advance than the human mind. And in my prayer and meditation, an inner voice is guiding me to find answer to the Binabaylan of Bulan La Mogoaw. So i send private message to Lakan Lago and he told me about the Dumagat and the intention of the Philippine Government to create the Kaliwa Dam.  The Water crisis we are experiencing are exploitation of our Government and Blaming Mother Nature to be the cause of this crisis.

The water crisis within our land will bring some health problem with the people. Since all of us are reliant to water for many things as Luntiang Aghama teaches us that water has traditional function of cleansing, transforming, transporting, binding, and reflecting. But as Manghihilot what can we do now? We teach that as Manghihilot we are not only concern on the Physical Ailments of the people but we also prevent illness by healing also the environment. We have called the Divine Guidance and this is what it shows us.

120514_angat-dam03Gutugutumakan the Supreme Deity of the Dumagat, the Agta people who walk (lumakad) and populated the land and protect the sacred waters of the mountains (thus their name dumagat that might means “of the sea/ or likeness of the sea”) do now pray not only for the rain but also for their land. We are also praying with you for the rain to come and also to secure your home land for the future generation of the Dumagat People. May everyone Co Exist in perfect harmony and not in Greed.

May Gutugutumakan continue to Bless Us. May Tigbalog continue to provide us life. May Luwebe allow us to grow. May Ama unite us in love and continue to promote peace in our land. May Binangewan heal us from all our disease.

Gutugutumakan Hear us as we Pray! Save us and give us water to purify our soiled body and soul. Do not allow corruption govern the heart and the mind of our people. Purge out the Evil that hunts everyone in the land.

 

Experiencing the Mysteries of Hilot

65101907_454063461820584_1028897632375799808_nLive In Training Program for Hilot ng Aghamang Binabaylan is an open ended learning opportunities not only for the student but also for me as the Training Provider. I do not only train the student on the 8 days live in program, but we literally live together and learn together as we work out together to preserve the Indigenous Medicine of the Philippines.  The Hilot training of the Academy does not focus on teaching massage on its student but instead we focus on the Medicine it self that could bring back the optimum health and wellness of the Patient.

In our Training we emphasize that Massage is only one part of the entire Hilot treatment and it is categorize on the Init or heat as it use rubbing movement that will give warmth to the body of the patient. As Manghihilot, we don’t just apply treatment to the external part of the body but we also provide internal medicine such as food and drinks.  That is why as Manghihilot we need to know our healing herbs.

Our words has power to affect the mind and the emotion, and by hearing our words it will change their flow of thoughts as well as their emotions that will affect also their Body Composition.  This has been shown through our body lifting and levitation exercise where our body reacts to the subtle energies of Prayer.

In doing Massage as part of Hilot treatment, there is always an Orasyon. And the Orasyon in Massage pertains to the duration or repetition of strokes that you are going to apply in Hilot Pahid which is the Hilot Wellness Massage. Time is important element in Healing. It is also the same as in the time on when you are going to take your medicine. The Amount, Duration and severity of the method is what Hilot Orasyon means aside from the Therapeutic Communication it gives.

The story of Dayang Alab ng Liwanag

There was a girl that wrote us an application letter that she intend to learn the ways of Healing of the Ancestors and she wrote:

I am at the very beginning of my journey in traditional and alternative medicine. I have been chronically ill since 2010 due to a condition called Topical Steroid Withdrawal, which was caused by the overextended use of topical and oral steroids creams used to “cure” my eczema. In fact, I no longer had eczema, but rashes formed by the damage of the long term use of steroids and antibiotics. I have been a patient of traditional Chinese medicine for many years now and have learned a little in understanding how to read my skin or how effects manifest in my body.

I received a spirit clearing from a mumbaki in 2015 and he said that I am my paternal great great grandfather’s reincarnation, and something that did not finish in his lifetime is coming through me.

While being chronically ill, I have relied on plant medicine for pain and healing and developed a relationship to plants and their energies. It is my intention to learn more about plant medicine to help my family, friends, and community come back into their well being and health through natural ways.

This girl is from Washington DC, a Pinay American who was called by her ancestor to walk back on to the path of our race (Landas ng Lahi) and for 8 days we have helped her to remember what she already know for a long time. And now she speaks of what she have remembered through this words:

4 years ago, nati and mamerto did a spirit clearing on me and said that I am the reincarnation of my great great lolo; that something not finished is coming through me. my family does not have access to that generation, but this past Christmas, I found out that great lolo fermin was a manghihilot. reiki has been so helpful in my healing, but I felt it was necessary to honor and learn my own people’s energy and healing modalities, especially knowing healers were in my family.

for months I have been setting the intention to learn hilot, and today, I was initiated as hilot binabaylan. i laugh because universe has a way of synchronicity. I found out only recently that the training would be an 8-day live in study, and decided to change my plans so that I can squeeze in training before the busyness of HK and expo. today was my last day of study and of course it ends up being on the strawberry moon, a portal of expansion and initiation/full moon in sagittarius, my moon at that. lol, universe.

apu adman let me know that a diwata visited my room last night and told him my spirit name; that I will find out later during closing ritual. during my ceremony, apu and lakay called on the diwata that guides me to serve as witness. they wrote 14 names of the diwata and rolled them up for me to choose one. who else but the white bright moon, Diwata Bulan La Mogoaw, the moon goddess. apu and lakay just laughed and smiled because I kept taking pictures of the rising full moon the night prior and kept singing the small lyrics I know of “buwan.” I truly am a daughter of the moon. she calls me and I am listening. this diwata will continue to guide me on my path as a healer and she has blessed me with the name, “Dayang Alab ng Liwanag” – blaze of light, keeper of sacred fire of life. they already printed out the certificate before I chose my diwata guide….

most of my family think that hilot is only massage, but hilot is such deep connection to spirit 😭, and specifically how to heal with body with H (halaman, herbs), I (init, heat), L (linawag, light), O (horas, orasyon, time; prayer), T (tubig, water). my tawas (form of divination through paper, egg, or candle wax) sent a clear message that my ancestors were communicating with me and asking me to answer my call of healer, babaylan, manghihilot. there was no other way but to get so sick, face near death with tsw and pneumonia, for me to understand this path of shadow, light, and spirit. through this path, I have come to build a relationship to plants and prayer in forms of meditation, movement, intention. i am honored to be a hilot binabaylan, reviving the duties and responsibilities of the babaylan in my lineage.

I have no other words than my people are magic. I am only at the beginning of my journey. I have a lot to learn and unlearn, and am readying myself to walk the path of both spirit and earth. I asked ancestors where to even begin and I am reminded to just trust; I will continue to be present on this path to see where it leads me. today, I am happy to be hilot binabaylan. I feel blessed to have had this sacred opportunity to learn from and live with apu and lakay for the past 8 days. I am missing the busy sounds of San Jose del monte, bulacan. I am missing the constant exchange of learning between us. A day with Hilot Binabaylan

It’s June 16, 2019- Sunday is a Busy day for Hilot Academy of Binabaylan at the Shrine of Luntiang Aghama. A night prior to this we had a Freedom Redemption ritual that was Participated by the Members of Luntiang Aghama who is at the same time our Hilot Binabaylan in the Academy and so as with our new student from Washington DC no other than Kai Kai. Last night was a great opportunity for Kai Kai to learn the ways of our Ancestors in Healing as she does Tawas and Pagpag. We also did a mini Psychism Workshop focusing in Alterative Abilities and Psycho Kinesis which went great.

64206201_402146547177320_5362602024397438976_nThis morning we have been greeted by Russel Lim of Quezon City as he come to remember the Art of Pulse Reading through a Workshop with Kai Kai his Kasama on this journey back to the Path of our Race.  We’ve done a lot this day. We do the western Pulse Reading like on a Vital Sign Check Up, the Oriental Hilot Pulse reading, we do also Tawas and the Kapwa Tarot Reading by Kai Kai.  It was like a baptism of Fire for Kai Kai as she practice what she have learned from us in the past days. Indeed i agree to what she always tell that she need to learn her Human Anatomy and Physiology as she willl work out with Hilot. Though most of our Hilot are Spiritually inspired but all the inspiration of the Spirit will come into matter as it is said that:

As above, so the Soul;

AS Within, so Without;

As the Spirit, So as the Soul!

Healing the World with Hilot

From 2015 we officially have shared the Ancient Knowledge of Hilot to the People of the World as we have produced Hilot Binabaylan to people of different nationalities.

We are proud to say that we have shared this ancient tradition of healing arts and science of Hilot to the people that lives in the USA, Canda, Chile, Spain, Japan, Austria and the Philippines. Soon we are also reaching out to the people of Italy to share the Arts and Science of Hilot as Philippine Traditional Medicine.

So people now ask how to avail the Knowledge of Hilot. Do we have a center or schools in the countries that we have mentioned?

As of this moment we do not have Schools or Learning Center outside the Philippines. Our Hilot Academy is located within Luntiang Aghama Natural Divine Arts Shrine of Healing Inc. at Lot 79 Phase A, Francisco Homes Narra, City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, 3023, Philippines.

People come to our place to learn with us. We have one day course program that will supplement the learnings that you already have in the healthcare industry/ profession or a complete 8 day training package that you can avail either on a stay out or stay in program.

We are just a small space within Francisco Home Subdivision in the City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. By day it can only accommodate 3 to 5 person when we conduct training. But for student who avails our stay in course program, it can only accommodate up to 2 persons for room sharing.

For students who plan to take the full course in our stay in program, we offer you food and accommodation and also we have a wifi in our place. All of our training goes with modules and certificate. And we can do personalized and customized program for your learning needs.

Pakikiramay or Condolences: A Hilot for the Family who have died a love one

As i practice Hilot over the years, i am learning new things on my daily practice as i provide Hilot to the people especially to my Family Members. I learn Hilot not only as a Physical Medicine that heals the body but also as a medicine that could heal the soul. All of us wanted to live a happy life and Hilot could help us obtain it by having a healthy Body, Mind and Soul. Holistic Wellness as i learn into my journey does not only rely on the Physical Health but also on how a certain body will welcome Death.

 

img20190221153704-312668394.jpgOn April 19, 2019 by 8:30 PM my Beloved Mother Raquel Payco Gomez Comon have already crossed the veil to the After Life peacefully. She have survived Mutliple Stroke, Chronic Kidney Disease and Hip Replacement Surgery at the age of 68. She have received love and care from our Family members specially from her Husband and Children. Allopathic and Traditional Health care have been implemented to her as well as Emotional and Spiritual care have been provided.

As my Mother’s caregiver and Hilot, Healing have been applied to her successfully that for 4 months of caring she had enjoyed life with us her family. Now that my mother have passed away, healing and caring is continually given not to her body but now to her soul and to the souls of her family member. Nightly vigil and visitation for the condolences from the People whom my mother have touched will help her soul to reach peacefully her place in the afterlife as well as for us to receive comfort and healing.

My Mother is my number 1 fan and advocate in Hilot Academy and through her i made a vow to advance Traditional, Indigenous and Natural Medicine in the Philippines. As my mother strive her best to make a one foot step forward, I believe that our Hilot will be the same.

I thought to my self that i will give up Hilot, but through her spirit i was encourage to continue this devotion of promoting Hilot as Traditional Medicine in the Philippines.
