Backup and restore

I know everyone has an android or smartphone, isn’t it? And the common problem that we encounter with our mobile device is hanging up. This situation make us freeze what we are doing because we are waiting for our phone to comeback so that we can work again.

But what technique do you do when your mobile device is constantly hanging up?

Yesterday, i had an unpleasant experience with my phone that is hanging up. It won’t allow me access social media even to do text messages. The reason for it is that its memory is full. So i need to back up all my files and reset my phone to restore its activity.

In our life, sometimes our activities have been stopped due to some struggles that we can’t move on. These struggles are due to past memory of experiences that we can’t get over. Sometimes in order to move on and restore our activity, we need to backup and delete those memory so that we can start all over again.

What had happened to us in the past will never be changed. It already happened in the past and not in the present. The only thing we could do now is to live in our present and create happy memories with our current actions in our life.

But in doing Hilot, the provider spend a lot of energies from the time, knowledge of determining the cause of illness, planning the appropriate treatment modality to apply, use of herbs and other things that hilot will use before and after treatment.

The Hilot spend a lot rather than what s/he recieves. This shows that Hilot has a great value of Pakikipag Kapwa and pakikisama.

Kapwa is a Filipino Term that originates from the word kaputol ng kaluluwa ( a piece of the soul). Thus pakikipagkapwa is an art of unification of the individual soul to the Universal Soul or the word (us).

This pakikipagkapwa thing that the hilot has make hilot to reject payment from their client/patient. But what the client/patient did not realise is the value of the Hilot a manghihilot provide is much more greater that the amount of money could be spent.

Hilot is not Swedish Massage

haplos effluerageLast night, i had a conversation with a Massage Enthusiast over Facebook Messenger. In our conversation she have mentioned that at last she have found the Filipino Version of Swedish Massage through Hilot. She have said that because she saw in one of our video posted at Hilot Academy FB Page that we mention Hilot Haplos as equivalent to Effluerage of Swedish Massage.

Indeed we have mention it to our video that Hilot Haplos is equivalent to Effluerage of Swedish Massage, but it does not mean that Hilot is only limited to Massage. I have told our friend the difference of learning through online videos to live discussion. Because Learning through Videos are limited only to the task performed than on live in person learning we explain thoroughly the principles behind the techniques that been demonstrated. It is also important to learn the whole concept first before jumping into conclusion that Hilot is the Filipino version of Swedish Massage which i will insist that it is not.

If we are going to talk about Massage in Filipino, Massage is not called Hilot but it was called as Masahe; and Masahe is only one of the many Healing Modality of Hilot.

To justify the thinking of Hilot as a form of Massage, the practitioner must recognise the difference of the Hilot Masahe strokes to the 5 manipulative strokes of Swedish Massage.

Swedish Massage has 5 Manipulative strokes so as Hilot Masahe.

MasaHilot of Kaduwa

It’s our second day of Livelihood Training of Hilot Wellness for Kaduwa Movement Equality through Compassion Inc.

We have talked about the importance of taking client information and its relavance to his/her health condition.

The first technique that been shared is also a form of diagnostic method whereas the practitioner analyze the elements within the name of the patient and determine its energetic balance. Then pulse diagnosis was also shared as one of the important diagnostic tool in determining the cause of illness. After wards we have perform and demonstrated dry hilot sequence or chair back massage.

Kaduwa Habi Hilot Training

And i am so grateful to have Bro. Oscar Sangalang, a well respected traditional healer in the metro to be one of our student/participant in this batch.

How much is the cost in having hilot? Or let me ask this in reverse, how much is the cost in giving hilot?

First of all, our Hilot is human also that has needs. In order to give hilot, they need to set aside their personal lives so that they can provide quality treatment to each patient. It is their job to make each client/patient to make them feel better not only in Physical condition but also emotional, mental, social amd spiritual aspect of their being. Since it is a Job performed, it must also be a job that should be paid.

Hilot uses tools that they also pay for it too.

When they study hilot modality, they dont study it for free. They spend thousands of pesos too in order to master their craft. Hilot doesnt give treatment that they do not know how to employ. 

Hilot is not just performance of strokes but each movement, procedure and strokes conducted by hilot are well studied movement. 

Hilot treatement are not the same treatment for everyone because people are not the same. Each client will recieved different approach in hilot treatment depending on the result of hilot diagnosis to the client.
