The result of our activity goes beyond our expectations. Some arrived very early from the call time as we also end up the program late by 11 PM. Some people come from far away places and the farthest i know is from Antique who travel just to participate to our event gathering.

Indeed that Hilot is a family of healers that does not limit to a certain modality in order to help person be relieved from dis ease and in restoring optimum health and wellness. As i notice that our Traditional Healing Arts and Science is very welcoming to integration to other healing modalities such as Natutopathy, Homeopathy and Acupressure. Since Hilot is very intuitive in nature, and the spirit have lead the people to integrate what we individually know to improve and recover the health and wellness of a certain individual.

We are looking forward in the future to see all the people mention above to work together again on a Big Festivity which we will conduct next year.

May everyone be Blessed in Peace.

Healing Crisis

This video demonstrate what happens to a person who is recieving Hilot.

When a sick person comes to manghihilot, the person is being filled with clean energy upto the brim and overflow.

Watch the bubble (which is the toxin within the body, this may represent negative energies that affect also the mind, emotion and the spirit).

As clean energy comes in to the body (represented by the faucet water) the unclear energy is being brought up and expelled out, but cleansing doesnt stop there becuase it needed to be thoroughly cleansed.

When someone feel that their ailments become aggravated, that means all negative energies have been purged out. The same thing happen in soul healing. The person will experience mood swings, hatred, bad luck and so on until overflowing love and blessings will flourish.

The work of healing does not stop in addressing pain but ot should work continuesly until we gain the expected result.

When all is well then, the patient becomes now the vessel of possitive energy that s/he also becomes a healer.

The cost of Healthcare

Last time i went to the hospital to let my nephew who is just two years old be checked by a pediatrician. After a long qeue, the name of my nephew have been called and its time for us to seat in front of the Doctors desk.

Without lifting her butt on the chair, the doctor write on her prescription pad for the medicine we should administer to my nephew and a recommendation for a laboratory test for his blood and urine then the doctor asked us to come back when the laboratory result has been made for her to interpret.

Then we left her office and go straight ahead to the cashier to pay the Doctors fee of Php 450.00 ; then we go to the Pharmacy to buy the prescribed medicine the doctoe gave us that cost Php 1,000.00; then we go to the Laboratory and pay again Php 500.00 for the Urine and Blood Test; and on the other day i alone come back to the doctors office for the Laboratory result interpretation that luckily i only pay Php 50.00 for the Hospital Charge.

If we will sum up all the money we spend, it cost me Php 2,000.00 or USD 37.21. This is the cost now for modern Health Care and not all people could afford to have spend Php 2,000.00 a day.

I feel so sorry that i have not that enough time to spend my days with my nephew and family member. If only the principles of Hilot could be applied daily in our life, we could prevent illness like this and much more serious and chronic diseases.

Every home should have someone who knows the Arts and Science of Hilot in preventing and curing simple ailments that will save them from unnecessary expenses such as from hospitalization.

The true cost of Traditional Healthcare is this. It can be seen from the letter that spelled out the word Hilot which is the letter “o” which stands for Oras or time. Spending time with our love ones will prevent the development of illness. We can protect them from any possible harm that might endanger them to our surroundings. And with the time we spend, we could also share our love to them which is the most Powerful Healer in the world that give us life.

Live and Let Live!

Natural Pharmacy

Our land is Blessed with Fertility that it can produce life. All green grass, herbs and tree can grow to our land by simply allowing the seeds covered by soil in time you will see life.

When people get sick and hospitalized, doctor will prescribe medicine that you should buy to the pharmacy to be administered to the patient. And from your doctors prescription you have to ingest different drugs either by mouth or through vein.

In the old times, our Tradicional Medicine Man only administer one herb to restore life of the patient and to recover.

Learning the ways of our ancestors Natural Healing is the best way of preserving our life and maintaining our optimum health.

In Hilot, we do not only care for Human Lives but also we care about the lives of all creation whether be it plant or animal and the world we live in.

Caring for the planet and giving life on it means good life for us as human who cares for mother Earth.

Hope, Happiness and Humility

How will you feel if your patient/ client dies? Will you blame your self from the death of your client?

Dont be sad and blame your self, as manghihilot you have done your part. You are not the healer but only a channel of Healing.

You have already treat the body and it is already healed. But the soul body is not yours to treat but by our creator. As hilot and when your patient die, it is now your duty to deliver the soul of your patient to the creator which is the one who could provide a new body for the soul.

Do not think that you are the most powerful healer in the world.

Remember the first letter of the word Hilot. It is not only giving hope and happiness but it also teach you to become humble all the time.

Pwera Usog

In our discussion during the Hilot Pahid Workshop on defining Hilot healing modality, we have talked about that heat is different from light as a healing method.

On the following day after the workshop, me and lakay are giving feedback on the activities we have done so that we may improve our delivery method in conducting workshop and trainings.

During our feedback session, lakay have clarified that heat is differentiated to light by the sense perception it affected such as heat is for the sense of touch or feelings while the light affects the sense of sight.

Hilot pahid produces heat to the body of the person as it’s action in manipulating the surface of the skin is through friction. While light therapy can also be equated to Color or Chromatherapy which use color in treating the person.

Since color is visual, it can affect the nervous system through its psyho emotional reactions through color. As we continue our self evaluation and feedback, we look also for evidence that our traditional healers use color in treating dis Ease.

And we remember that we have used color to treat and avoid Usog. Usog is a condition where a person absorb too much negative emotions from other person that makes him or her sick. Its not only the babies who can suffer from this illness but also the grown ups too.

Init at Liwanag (Heat and Light)

During our Hilot Pahid workshop, we have defined Hilot healing modality as with the use of Halaman (herbs), Init (heat), Liwanag (light), Oras / Orasyon ( Time/ Prayer or therapeutic Communication) and Tubig (Water).

From these acronyms of the healing modality that hilot employed, one participant have asked what is the difference between heat and light since light produces heat.

This is a good question to answer though some may think that light produces heat, this two forms of energy has different vibration and affects two different senses. The light affects our sense of sight while the heat affects our sense of touch.

The light affects our eyes, liver, stomach, digestive system, urinary and reproductive organs; while the heat affects the integumentary system, lungs, heart and the nervous system.

Patient not Client

Lakay ALsent Magbaya demonstrate that our hands emits energy in a form of heat. If we focus on our natural energy within our body we can direct it outward to affect change.

Since energy follows thought, individual willingness to affect change can be brought up. Discipline of regular exercise and practice will bring out perfection to the desired results from your practice.

As Manghihilot, we use our hands to work healing to our patient; and our hands serve as an extension of our heart which symbolizes love and compassion. In the work we do as Manghihilot, we consecrate the energies we emit through our hands with love and compassion; and through our willingness to share this subtle energy that flows through us- healing is achieved.

We call our recipient of Hilot as Patient in contrary to the prohibition by the authority of the government agencies. We treat our patient with a goal of making them better, and calling them as client only means that we are just doing business with the people who seek healing.

People who seeks healing is called patient.

People who seeks benefit is called Client.

As Hilot we do not just provide benefit to the people, but we provide healing to all who seeks for it.

Life Force Central

Stomach area is in the middle of our heart and sex organs. When this two part of our body work well it gives life force to the stomach to be the new house of life until it comes out as a new human.

Taking care of our stomach make us balance and hilot guides the life force in this part to be distributed to each part of the body.

When a new baby comes out from mothers womb, after cleaning up the instict is to place to baby on mothers breast to be feed with mothers love and nutrients.

Gift of Healing from the Barter Trade

The tradition of Hilot was known as no money involved until a superstition was created that when a manghihilot charge money for the services s/he redered his or her power of healing will get lost. So instead of money, manghihilot only recieves gifts or goods for the services s/he rendered. This thinking makes all manghihilot to become financially unstable.

But this is not true at all. The service of manghihilot has a fee. Monetary system arrived in the Philippines during the colonial rule of Spain and been improved by the Americans that we have now the monetary currency that we use today.

In ancient time we practice bartering or trading services or goods with another person when there is no money involved. It is a practice of exchange of a service or goods for other services and goods in return. Thus in modern times most healer prefer to call their professional service fee as an Energy Exchange.

As Manghihilot living in this modern world, we are also governed by the mundane needs like other people have in the society. We use money to buy food and drinks, pay our bills and rents, pay our fare when we travel and in sending our children to schools.

Yes our Knowledge in Hilot is a Divine Gift. A gift of life that we could use to live. A form of work to earn a living and not a means to add to us the burden of other people lives.

Our work in Hilot is to preserve and maintain life. And through our work we have improve the way you live by removing the obstacles and limitations on how you are living. And with that the cost of your comfort is worth paying for.

Another topic that i would like to share here with you is about Bentusa Fire Cupping Therapy.

Many times i’ve been asked if Bentusa is a Filipino Healing Modality. And during our forum, some people want to remove it because its not authentically Pinoy.

Chinese, Hindu, Arabs amd Greeks have bentusa as their healing modality so how come that it becomes Filipino.

Bentusa becomes part of Filipino Traditional Healing Modality because of the barter trade. Our fellow manghihilot ms. Kning Parungao have termed it as Panuot. In some provinces they use carabao horn to in suction. And there are also some practices in the Philippines that specialize in sucking venom that been bitten by poisonous snake or other animals that is called Mananandok or Mananawak which is far more traditional than the use of cup or bentusa glass.

Since time immemorial, China has a strong tie with the Philipines through barter trade so as India which had influence over the south east asia during the 300 to 600 AD.

When you bought something to other person, that object you have baught becomes yours and through bartering, bentusa becomes part of our Traditional and Natural Healing Arts.
