It’s June 16, 2019- Sunday is a Busy day for Hilot Academy of Binabaylan at the Shrine of Luntiang Aghama. A night prior to this we had a Freedom Redemption ritual that was Participated by the Members of Luntiang Aghama who is at the same time our Hilot Binabaylan in the Academy and so as with our new student from Washington DC no other than Kai Kai. Last night was a great opportunity for Kai Kai to learn the ways of our Ancestors in Healing as she does Tawas and Pagpag. We also did a mini Psychism Workshop focusing in Alterative Abilities and Psycho Kinesis which went great.

64206201_402146547177320_5362602024397438976_nThis morning we have been greeted by Russel Lim of Quezon City as he come to remember the Art of Pulse Reading through a Workshop with Kai Kai his Kasama on this journey back to the Path of our Race.  We’ve done a lot this day. We do the western Pulse Reading like on a Vital Sign Check Up, the Oriental Hilot Pulse reading, we do also Tawas and the Kapwa Tarot Reading by Kai Kai.  It was like a baptism of Fire for Kai Kai as she practice what she have learned from us in the past days. Indeed i agree to what she always tell that she need to learn her Human Anatomy and Physiology as she willl work out with Hilot. Though most of our Hilot are Spiritually inspired but all the inspiration of the Spirit will come into matter as it is said that:

As above, so the Soul;

AS Within, so Without;

As the Spirit, So as the Soul!

Healing Sanctuary

Hilot is an Indigenous Healing art that is native to the Philippines. It also incorporate massage as one of its healing modality.

Unlike in Massage Therapy which is a foreign modality that is not native in the Philippines, Hilot Masahe is curative rather than relaxing massage. Hilot treats Patient and not just a client, customer, or guest.

This is why modern Massage Therapist ended up in prostitution because the Government Stardardization committee in Massage Therapy forbid the use of the word “Patient” to those who are recieving massage.

This system has been followed also by Tesda Hilot Wellness which follow the same principle implemented by DoH Licensed Massage Therapist.

The system of Home Service Massage and fly by night Spa loosen the therapeutic value of massage.

In Traditional Hilot, we follow the law of Nature. We only treat on day time and not during the night. We even treat our patient on direct sunlight and not on a dim room naked.

Authentic Indigenous Hilot practitioner are not limited giving their craft to anyone who seeks for it. Instead of going to the home of their patient, the Manghihilot open up their own home to be a healing sanctuary for their patient.

Hilot is not found in Spa but in the practitioners Home.

Doctor of Hilot

There is no Law yet to officially recognize Hilot as a Doctor here in the Philippines, but an International Law recognize Chiropractor as a Doctor so as the Acupuncturist.

Doctor Catherine Sy Luib, who is a Chiropractor and Acupuncturist whose Family roots are from Cebu and Dinagat Islands, Surigao Del Norte migrated to the United States and earn her Doctorate Degree in Chiropractic.

Doc Cath as she prefered to be called is a FYLPRO Champion of San Diego, California, USA.

She learned Hilot Academy through Facebook, and as delegate for the Filipino Young Leaders Program that is based in the United States, she wanted to have a Legacy project of reintroducing Hilot to the Filipino Communities in the US.

Doc Cath arrived in the Philippines on November 8 and immediately she immersed her self into a medical mission in Sta. Rosa, Laguna providing the people there with Alternative Health Care Services through Acupuncture and Chiropractic Adjustment.

And on the 10th of November, Doc Cath arrived to our place and started her transformative Journey in learning Hilot as the Philippine indigenous healing arts and science.

We had fun during the learning sessions. We started off with Tawas then an actual work of Herbal Identification to Mt. Balagbag. We have shared also the Knowledge of Baybayin. Cook some Hilot Recipe for health and wellness; and the actual demonstration and giving of Hilot.

Indeed, learning Hilot with Doc Cathy is fun as we have opened up new path ways to learn Hilot to our future Students and fellow advocate in Hilot Academy.

With these, we congratulate Doctor Catherine Sy Luib for completing her course as Hilot Binabaylan.

Hilot is now in New York

It was a quick notice from an Am Pinay who was born in Bantayan City, Cebu, Philippines who have seen our website and booked a one-on-one workshop in Hilot Pahid; and i am so proud to introduce to everyone our newest member in the family of Hilot Academy.

Her name is Khokhoi who is a performing artist researcher on Philippine Culture and arts. She already have a background on natural healing and she choose to learn our very own native and tradional healing arts and science of Hilot.

We started our lesson by telling her story about the Angono Binangonan Petroglyphs which is dated back from neolithic age or around 2000 BC which shows a wall curving of stick images of man that according to researcher is believed to be the earliest method of healing. By curving the images of the patient on the cave wall, it is believed that the illness of the patient will be transfered to the limestone and the patient will be healed. After telling this story, we have demonstrated the art of Tawas Diagnosis which may relate to the principles of the petroglyphs.

Then after we perform tawas, khokhoi experience the hilot pahid and after an hour of treatment she fell asleep. Khokhoi have been relaxed and relieved her tension from the jetlog she had from travelling long hours. Her body recieved adjustment and restore her bodily function. Then i demonstrate the 5 elemental manipulative strokes as she do it in return.

As she completed the demonstration, i introduce her to ms. Grace Sanico of Lunas ay Hilot sa Kalusugan and I Steps Inc.

Amd through Ms. Grace we award her certificate and welcome her as newest member of the Academy.

Then on our last hour, we have shared some knowledge of herbal hilot and introduce to her some local herbs that are available in the garden.

Indigenous Herbal Product

Healthcare must be a non negotiable industry in the Philippines but should not be a monopoly capitalism.

People must have an access to healthcare of their choice. Even in the field of Herbal Medicine there is a trend of capitalizing on imported herbal products.

Our country is rich on Natural Resources and has plenty of medicinal herbs that grows naturally in the yards of every Filipino home. Due to uneducation, commercial advertisement of imported herbal products are within reach to the Filipinos through multi media. There are only few who promote local herbal products in our country and one of this is the Bio Nutri Wealth.

Yesterday we visit the office of Bionutriwealth enterprises to see their herbal products and on how they help Filipino people in taking care of their health.

Together with Ms. Grace Sanico of I Steps Inc. and Lunas ay Hilot sa Kalusugan with Lakay Alsent Magbaya of Luntiang Aghama, we had a meeting with Ms. Marisa Flores and Mr. Joe of Bionutri Wealth Enterprises to discuss about their products and its bemefit to the health of the Filipino people.

Soon we will introduce here their products and how it well help you maintain optimum health and wellness.

Food that Heals A Lot

After we come out of our mothers womb, we breathe for the air of life. Then we are cleaned up and placed to our mother’s breast to be cared and feed.

As we grow up, life has been sustained by the comfort we had from the tender loving care of our mom.

And food is one of the most effective means of showing care and concerns to out love ones as Filipino.

In Hilot we see the importance of food in healing. Aside from the energy we get from the food that we eat, we also use food to regain our strength so that we may get healed.

With this we are inviting everyone on October 28, 2018 to join us in our 1st Mamghihilot Festival and General Assembly to be held at 157 K3 road, Kamuning, Quezon City.
