Unlike spa, the client choose what kind of treatment they want to have. But in Hilot, we as specialist are the one who decide which treatment our client should have. But how do we determine which Hilot Treatment we should provide for our client? And that is through our Hilot Diagnostic Procedures.
As Manghihilot, we know that there are only 2 types of illness and that is the spiritual illness and the physical illness. So, how do we determine if the client has physical illness or a spiritual illness?
We can determine this through finger alignment method. If the finger is not aligned we know that there is a spiritual cause of an illness from there we will investigate which elemental spirits that affects the client then we perform tawas diagnosis.
After we perform the tawas ritual we will give our personal remarks or observation on the tawas then we will ask the client to give feedback so that we can make analysis. After we analyze we will give our recommendation and ask the client for consent for the treatment procedures we plan to perform for them.
If the illness is caused physically after finger alignment we will do pulse reading analysis and we will give our remarks and recommendation and ask consent if we could perform to the client the treatment plan we have to help them restore their well being.
It is always a new day for us everytime there are new people that comes into our school.
From March 20-28,2024 we are with 3 wonderful souls that come from Vallejo, California which are Liza Bustillo and Melanie Cancino, while the other one from Victoria, Australia is Rechel Cecilio.
Though I already know Liza as she took the Non Contact Hilot Mind and Spirit class on 2021 and is a certified Magtatawas at the Academy while Melanie and RC are totally new persons to me.
But I am very glad that these people choose to create this opportunity so that we could share to them our very own healing arts and science and to straighten up the connotation of Hilot.
Over the years, Hilot Academy of Binabaylan is working out to preserve and promote Philippine Indigenous Traditional Medicine which is known as Hilot by inviting those who have been called by our Ancestors to relearn this sacred knowledge of our Ancestral Healing Arts and Science.
And this coming August 2024, Apu Adman and Lakay Magbaya is coming to the US as we are invited by Danvile Yoga and Wellness to share this Ancestral Healing Arts among Filipino that was born in the US or even non Filipino that has a calling to take the duties and responsibilities as Hilot Binabaylan.
As we come there, we will come with a 3 program in serving everyone so that you may reach this goal.
First is the 8 days Hilot Binabaylan Training which is an entry level that will initiate you in ministering the people by delivering Indigenous Traditional Filipino Health Care.
The other 2 program are the Continuing Education Program which will serve our graduates. First to those who have taken the Non Contact Hilot Mind and Spirit Work which was ordained as Magaanito, Magtatawas, Pangatauhan and Pangutanahan to level up their status as full pledged Hilot Binabaylan.
Then the other one is for those who have been ordained as Hilot Binabaylan Practitioner from 2016 to 2023 which we provide you a one step ladder to upgrade your status from being a practitioner to a Mentor.
Understanding what is all about is what fuels our activity here in Hilot Academy of Binabaylan. We need to Educate the people of what Hilot can do in their lives through our Trainings and Free Hilot Session at Luntiang Aghama Natural Divine Arts Shrine of Healing Inc. and Bahay SiAdTala. Maintaining Life or Optimum Health and Wellness must be secured in the persons body. When I say a person that goes from Newly born up to old age. Even couples who were not able to conceive a baby, we help so that these couple could obtain their goal.
Life is part of Nature, so as Caring should be Natural to us. Just like how we breathe, we Inspire, so as, we expire. It is a Give and Take process.
Whenever we stand besides the tree, its branches and leaves cover us and protect and comfort us from the direct heat of the sunlight. The trees emits its own energies by giving us Fresh Oxygen and absorbs in them the Carbon Dioxide that we breathe out.
We can find care from Nature, and we should learn from Nature how care from one Another.

Good News to Everyone! Hilot Academy of Binabaylan which is an Educational Ministry of Luntiang Aghama Natural Divine Arts Shrine of Healing Inc. (which is a Center for Philippine Traditional Spiritual Beliefs and Practices) is opening up it’s doors (specially to it’s graduates) for a Continuing Education Program. This program is ideal for those who have taken up the Non Contact Hilot Mind and Spirit work which usually specialize on Hilot Diagnostics Method. This mean that those who have taken the class may now can complete the remaining classes in order to become a full Hilot Binabaylan Practitioner. As we have designed that a Hilot Binabaylan should be able to perform the following competencies:
Hilot Diagnostics which compose of Tawas Spiritual Diagnostics, Kilubansa Elemental Name Energetic Balance Analysis, Pulse Reading Analysis. In our new Curriculum design, we added in this competency the Hilot Profiling method, Physical Assessment and Evaluation and Vital Sign Taking & monitoring, and Sibulan Adlaw Tala Baybayin Mystic Oracle.
Hilot Cleansing Methods which consist of Punas, Babad, Langgas, Mumog, Buhos, Hilod, Suob.
Hilot Treatment Methods which consist of Hilot Tapal or Herbal Poultice Application, Dagdagay/ Kulis Stick Foot Massage, Tawak/Tandok/ Bentusa Fire Cupping, Kayod or Scraping Therapy and Hilot Touch Manipulation Techniques.
Hilot Home Care Supplementation which consist of Herbal home remedies, Bio Energetics Techniques of Unat, KiGa and Indak Movements.
We also encourage all of our graduates from 2016 up to 2023 to have self-evaluation and retake the course or have an update to a class which they have not taken in the past. As all of the above-mentioned competencies are required so that you may upgrade your status on being a Hilot Binabaylan Practitioner to Hilot Binabaylan Mentor.
Mentorship Certification Program
When you take our class in the past, what you have received from us is just a Certificate as Hilot Binabaylan Practitioner. And your duties and responsibilities are only limited in providing Philippine Traditional and Indigenous Health Care into your Community. But through our Mentorship Certification Program, this will enable you to share your knowledge and expertise on the practice of Hilot Binabaylan that may initiate an Individual or group and be ordained as Hilot Binabaylan.
Requirements
Hilot Mentorship Certification is an upgrade opportunity for all of our Hilot Binabaylan Practitioners to earn extra income by becoming a Mentor & Assessor/ Evaluator. So, it is important requirement before you become a Certified Hilot Binabaylan Mentor & Assessor/ Evaluator is that you are a Hilot Binabaylan Practitioner for about 3 years. That means if you have taken the course on 2019, you are qualified to take this course. And it is important that you practice all the skills competencies prescribed in order to become a Hilot Binabaylan Practitioner or you can be a mentor of a specific skills. Such as in skills in the above-mentioned skills competencies.
How will it work?
Mentors candidate must fill up a self-evaluation form before application. It is necessary for mentors to be expert on the field that you are going to mentor or share. It is ideal for us that you should be expert in all field as Hilot Binabaylan so that you could also work as an Evaluator. In order for you to be a Certified Trainer, you have to share your knowledge of the skills you are to mentor during the regular class of Hilot Binabaylan Training and the Trainer (which is me, lakay and Mam Nora) will supervise you in co-training or mentoring. So, that means you have to attend the regular 9 days class and master each subject we teach from Hilot Diagnostics to Hilot Suplementation. Upon completion of training of the regular class of 9 days, additional days will be allotted to you for the trainer’s feedback as mentor and then the awarding of Certificate as Mentor. Upon awarding of Certificate, you are only allowed to mentor a skill which you are being certified depending on your performance if you qualify to become a trainer. If you are qualified on all skills level, you will become a certified trainer or if you only have few skills, you will just be a mentor.
If you want to be evaluated as mentor or trainer, you may bring a student to enroll on our 9 days and we will give you chance to share your knowledge and experience as Hilot Binabaylan by becoming a mentor, co trainer with supervision.
Technical Education and Skills Development Authority or TESDA is an attached Agency of Philippine Department of Labor and Employment which certifies an Individual who have acquired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities on the Qualification and Competencies of being a Hilot (Wellness Massage) Provider. Whereas Philippine Institute of Traditional Alternative Health Care or Pitahc is an attached agency of Philippine Department of Health which register accredited and certified Hilot Practitioner. But these 2 attached agencies of our government advocates the practice of hilot for hospitality service rather than health care. And we here at Hilot Academy of Binabaylan advocates Hilot as a Holistic Health Care Modality that includes Care for the Soul which is inseparable to the Human Body who is alive.
This is why, our Graduation Ceremony invokes the Authority of Luntiang Aghama Natural Divine Arts of Healing Inc. not only in terms of certifying our students but also Ordaining them to the Ministerial Work of Healing. Anointing them with our Lana Healing Oil, is likened to fueling the lamp which radiates light in darkness as our Hilot Binabaylan role in their community is to emit their light on which can help people make their life lighter by removing all the darkness and obstacles that might hinder people to enjoy their optimum health and wellness.

There is a big difference between Hilot and Massage. in massage they help relieve body illnesses, while in Hilot we do not only provide relief on the Physical Illnesses but also in mental, emotional and soul illness as what we specialize that is why our school is called Hilot Academy of Binabaylan.

The reason why he ask us because he want to set up a Spa as his business. Though I refer him to look for TESDA school that offers Massage Training so as inform him about the Policy of Philippine Department of Health towards the Practice of Massage in the Philippines. I also encourage him to set up a Hilot Center instead of a Spa. Just like in the practice of Hilot and Massage, there is a big difference between the two modalities of healing. But, in fact, massage is just one modality that is performed in Hilot. And for a wider view, Hilot is about caring and its practitioners are move to heal with compassion and not through compensation.
In order to provide a Hilot Treatment, a person must undergo a thorough Hilot Diagnostic Procedures. It means people who will have Hilot Treatment will not just come to have a Hilot and be relaxed just like in Spa, the Therapist will just provide what their customer want according to their menu. But in Hilot, we the provider will determine what is the right treatment the patient will receive upon determination of the Hilot Diagnostic Results.
This is why at Hilot Academy of Binabaylan, we are upgrading our curriculum so that we can move forward in professionalizing our Practice as Philippine Traditional Indigenous Medicine Practitioner. We are envisioning our Manghihilot in the future, just like the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner are called as a Doctor, so as the Ayurveda, Naturopath, Homeopath, Chiropractor and many others are called as Doctor, we too as Manghihilot will achieve the Recognition as Doctor of Philippine Traditional Indigenous Medicine.
But why Philippine Traditional Indigenous Medicine and not just Philippine Traditional Medicine?
We need to be precise on what we want to call our selves because as of this moment 2024 the Philippine Government has an Agency known as Philippine Institute of Traditional Alternative Medicine or most popularly known as PITAHC. And we could understand it that the Agency under Philippine Department of Health should promote Philippine Traditional Medicine (as we know before as Hilot), but what they are promoting instead of Hilot are other foreign Traditional Medicine that is present in the Philippines such as Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Homeopathy and Naturopathy. You can see it clearly in their social media account on which Traditional Medicine Practices they are promoting. Such as what they have posted in their facebook page on December 11, 2023:
CALABARZON or Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon Provinces Center for Health Development conducted Advance Acupuncture Training on selected Local Government Unit and Rural Health Unit personnel. And there is another one in Davao.
What we see in their actions is that they promote what they know well and work well with the one that could serve them well. But what is really happening now, Philippine Traditional Medicine which is Hilot has been set aside but instead focuses on foreign Traditional Medicine which they can market and give them earn a lot. So, we deemed Hilot to be our Philippine Traditional Indigenous Medicine which according to their Intro as:

February 2023, I made a call for fund raising in helping us construct our Training Center in Taguig. And fortunately by April, we started our first Hilot Binabaylan Training which produced 6 graduates that can competently provide Hilot Treatment to the countries they came from. And as 2023 ends, we have decided to welcome the New Year at Bahay SiAdTala.
Together with Lakay’s Family, I invited my siblings over Bahay SiAdTala to welcome 2024 and celebrated whole night long. And on daytime, we went Galivanting at Bonifacio Global City and experience little Italy through the Gondola Boat at Venice Grand Canal Mall. As a saying that what you do on the first day of the year, it will be the same thing that will happen throughout the year. I’m glad that I have celebrate it with my siblings and for the whole year we are going to have more galivanting moments.
But, now its the 3rd day of January and this means work and classes have resumed. So, with these I want to inform everyone that our 1st day of class this 2024 will start on January 18 up to January 27, 2024. This will be a 9 days class of Hilot Binabaylan, Remedial Hilot and Sibulan Adlaw Tala Baybayin Mystic Oracle Training. Then our next class will open on the following dates:
February 5-14, 2024 which will be a 9 days class; then followed on
March 19-27, 2024 which is an 8 days class; then on
April 12-21, 2024 which will be a 9 days class that consist of Hilot Binabaylan, Remedial Hilot and SiAdTala Baybayin Mystic Oracle Attunement.
May 2024 is still vacant, but we plan to attend the Fertility Festival in Obando, Bulacan and that will happen on May 17,18 & 19, 2024.

The month of May is a special month to me as it is my Birth Month and this year, I will turn 46 years old. Though I am in my middle age and have suffered early from stroke. But the last year of 2023 is a real blessings as i have overcome the limitations it bring as the world breaks free from Pandemic. And I believe that 2024 will bring more blessings, so I hope that you could join us as we journey to this life Adventure.
And talking about adventure, we plan to deliver an Interfaith Prayer in continues Healing of the Philippines on June 12, 2024 in celebration of 126 years of Declaration of Philippine Independence that we usually observe by performing the Freedom Redemption: Blessings all the nations of the world. And we will also attempt to manifest our long time dream to deliver an Interfaith Prayer during the Philippine President State of the Nation Address that usually happen on the 4th Monday of July and this year it will happen on July 22, 2024. And as we complete this mission, we will fly to Danville Calfornia from July 24- up to September 10, 2024 to conduct Hilot Training there.
And to all our graduates, we will also offer continuing education program while we are there and we will provide the 12 days Hilot Diagnostics and Treatment Continuing Study Program that will give mastery on your basic Hilot Binabaylan Skills that will allow you determine and perform treatment program as you make diagnostic either with the use of Tawas, Kilubansa and/or Pulse Reading.
