Healing through the power of the Elements

Effective healing invokes the power of the elements. These elements are the Vital Signs of Life within us. The Earth being our body that has shape and form which is the vessel of lifeforce; the water which flows into our veins and all watery substance that governs our body; the fire which give us complexion and temperature; the air which make us breathe and had inspiration; and the spirit which hold all together this elements to make life and living posible in this plane of existence.

Hilot Hygiene is one of the preliminary process that Hilot Healing does. It aims to cleanse and purify the physical body of the client in an out.

On the begining of every session, we ask our client/patient to drink pure water to flush out first internal toxins that build up in the body.

Hilot Hygiene composed of the following treatment:

  • Suob
  • Hilod
  • Paligo

All of these treatment are collectively called as Banyos which all means to take a bath. Basically, bathing is a practice done by Filipinos to remove dirt to our body thus making our body clean and fresh feeling.

It uses water as a medium either warm or cold. We also use herbs or soap (basically soap is made of oil which comes from plants), and body movements like rubbing or scrubbing to remove dirt in our body.

In and Out

Like the Earth, human body have inner and outer protection. As our planet have the atmosphere protecting the Earth, so as the man have its outer cover protecting the body from outside invasions.

Like our planet, our body has energetic field that protects our body from outside invassion. From this outer energy field that our body has the diagnostic procedure of tawas works.

It is amazing that we can detect and prevent illness through tawas by dealing with our psycho emotional health.

Tawas Ritual as Psycho Emotional Healthcare

When a person is ill and medical doctor can not find any reason for the cause of illness, people go to traditional and natural healthcare provider for a tawas.

Tawas is a traditional diagnostic procedure done by hilot to determine the cause of illness of the person where conventional medical doctor could not provide any explanation.

Illness as hilot see it is the result of disobedience to the law of nature by not doing the purpose of life.

The life of man aside from the composition of the elements of earth, air, fire and water is also governed by the Universal Spirit in man which is manifested as the Seven ( 7 ) souls. The manghihilot through tawas explores the 7 souls of man to detect the cause of illness which medical doctors could not determine.

The Power of will to heal and get healed

It’s rainy day and today in our class i have talked about the power of will to heal and get healed.

I mentioned to our manghihilot in traning that even how much powerful the healer is if the client is not willing to get well it will not get healed.

As hilot, our willingness to heal is shown by accepting patient/client to be healed through us. But we can see also the willingness of the patient/client to be healed if the patient/client exert their effort in coming to the Hilot Center to be healed.

In accessing to the Modern Conventional Medicine, as Patient we go to the Doctor to be cured. So as we as the Traditional and Natural Medicine Provider, we need our patients participation in their healing process not only spending amount of money but also their time and effort going to our center.

The Hilot Binabaylan is a professional that has an upgraded standards of serving our knowledge, skills and expertise in healing.

Bienvenido Ita!

Today is the first day of our Hilot Binabaylan Training for a Chilean National that will be our first Hilot Binabaylan who will serve the Republic of Chile.

Chile is a South American country with its capital and largest city known is Santiago. Chilean Nationals speak Spanish that makes Bernardita to be the First Chilean Hilot Binabaylan and second Spanish Speaking Hilot Curador.

Bernardita also known as Ita is a Chilean Actress, Dancer and Massuer. She studied Theater Arts and has compassion for Children that has Cancer.

On her first day, Ita works with Bonn Monzon our Sound Healer in doing Pulse Reading Analysis.

It is nice to see that the popularity of Hilot draws all nationality around the world to learn our very own Traditional Medicine and Ancient Healing Arts and Science.

Hilot Orasyon: Healing through Sound

Yesterday, we have welcome a new Hilot practitioner in the academy who is a sound healer and meditator. I am so glad that this young fine man will be part of our advocacy in bringing back the Old Filipino Traditional Healing Arts and Science in this modern world.
I have heared his story how the power of sound healed his inflamation under his eyes and amazingly we also have shared to bonn that Sound Healing is also part of Hilot Orasyon.

Hearing is one of the senses that we have as human being. And hearing is the ability to percieve sound which is a vibration as a result of action either from a musical instruments or spoken words.

When we hear sound, our mind process it and deliver it to our emotions and create some physical change and reaction to our body.

Hilot Orasyon is an amazing modality that even the Gods can be moved by it.

Record keeping

Record keeping is one of the most important task a modern hilot will do in our practice. This will help us to evaluate the efficacy of our treatment. See the progress of healing process to our patient and plan further treatment method to employ.

Hilot is not just a massage. It is the process of affecting cure to an illness.

Sin and Illness

Hilot believe that people got sick because they have sinned. This is the old traditional belief why do people get sick.

Sin is a condition of man when they have disobeyed the law of God. This is the reason why our ancestors have devised Agimat at anting anting (amulet and talisman) to have a sense of immortality or a special connection with the Divine. People who have agimat and anting anting posses supernatural powers specially on healing.

Agimat and anting anting are objects found or created by man that is used to connect them to the Divine thus possessing such amulet and talisman gave them special virtues that comes from the Divine.

Most humans are tactile being which means that they satisfy their doubt through touch. People seek for something to hold on so that they could give their trust.

It is believed that having amulet or talisman could wash away your sin thus giving you a sense of divinity in your being.

Sin is a state of mind that give limitation to your being. It is also the same with illness, You become limited into your being. Illness is a state of your physical, emotional and mental body that you feel that you are limited in functioning.

Sin and Illness can be synonymous to hilot. The only difference is that Sin is defined as disobedience from the religious law while Illness is disobedience from Natural and Universal Law.

The Natural and Universal law can be learn on how nature operate like the sun rises up in the east and set down in the west. People at birth start at the age Zero and then it moves progressively upward and not downwards. So as our growth we start from being small until we get tall. Any hindrance and limitation in applying to the natural and universal law becomes the illness of man.

So as on the mental and emotional behaviour becomes a distinct indicator of health and wellness of an individual. That is why mental and emotional health of an individual is also an important aspect that a manghihilot would consider in giving cure.

In our studies, we discuss about the soul of man and how it affects in our daily living. The Amulet and Talisman have direct effect on the soul of man that is why these things or objects are included in the Traditional Medicine of the Philippines.

Healing with Hilot

Hilot get popularized now-a-days through commercialism in spa but not all people do really understand what Hilot is all about. Most people think even those who are across the globe that Hilot is a Filipino Traditional Massage. And even me 10 years ago am guilty of spreading the wrong information about hilot.

We all think that Hilot is a form of massage because everytime we call for a manghihilot, we see them with lana and banana leaf in giving healing touch to our body ailments.

But not all hilot is about massage. When an expectant mother is about to give birth, family member will call for an elder manghihilot to assist the expectant mother in delivering birth to a new born child.

Tawas is also a form of Hilot whereas the practitioner gives word of wisdom or orasyon to the client/patient who is in need. The illness that can be cured by hilot is limitless. Aside from the Physical body, the manghihilot can also heal the emotion, intellect and social affair of the person.

With these faculty ailment of the person, the manghihilot will use different technique aside from physical touch of massage.

In our lessons with Hilot Academy, i always tell to our fellow manghihilot that: ” Anything that we put inside our mouth, our body may benefit or suffer from it; and anything that comes out from our Mouth is the same thing that other soul may benefit or suffer.”

Through out time, people have been poisoned by the words that been spoken to us. Those words may come from the radio, TV, Newspaper, Church, School or the Government. There are words that we may benefit from it and there are also some that harms us.

We either use our ears or our eyes in percieving information such us words that been written on this blog or with our ears when we hear words or sounds. And these information that we recieved are being processed in our mind that also can sink in deeply into our system.

Information are not only percieved through sense of sight and hearing but also through touch. People worldwide have this special sense that can percieve pleasure or pain through touch. And Hilot utilize this tactile sensation of man to bring forth healing to the individual.

To go back in defining Hilot, so as we learn the amazing and wonderful methods that Hilot uses we now understand that Hilot is Healing and in hilot there are many ways or methods to be use to affect cure to the client.

It was a quick email exchange that i met Jan Diwata. It is through the comment section of our webpage that she learned about our academy and when she got the opportunity to learn with us, she grab it immediately for 3 days.

Jan is an Amazing Hilot who do inner dance, yoga and baybayin oracle. She is passionate and dedicated healer who works in between the world for the spirit and mankind.
