Pre Hilot treatment tips

Unlike spa, the client choose what kind of treatment they want to have. But in Hilot, we as specialist are the one who decide which treatment our client should have. But how do we determine which Hilot Treatment we should provide for our client? And that is through our Hilot Diagnostic Procedures.

As Manghihilot, we know that there are only 2 types of illness and that is the spiritual illness and the physical illness. So, how do we determine if the client has physical illness or a spiritual illness?

We can determine this through finger alignment method. If the finger is not aligned we know that there is a spiritual cause of an illness from there we will investigate which elemental spirits that affects the client then we perform tawas diagnosis.

After we perform the tawas ritual we will give our personal remarks or observation on the tawas then we will ask the client to give feedback so that we can make analysis. After we analyze we will give our recommendation and ask the client for consent for the treatment procedures we plan to perform for them.

If the illness is caused physically after finger alignment we will do pulse reading analysis and we will give our remarks and recommendation and ask consent if we could perform to the client the treatment plan we have to help them restore their well being.

First day of Class

It is always a new day for us everytime there are new people that comes into our school.

From March 20-28,2024 we are with 3 wonderful souls that come from Vallejo, California which are Liza Bustillo and Melanie Cancino, while the other one from Victoria, Australia is Rechel Cecilio.

Though I already know Liza as she took the Non Contact Hilot Mind and Spirit class on 2021 and is a certified Magtatawas at the Academy while Melanie and RC are totally new persons to me.

But I am very glad that these people choose to create this opportunity so that we could share to them our very own healing arts and science and to straighten up the connotation of Hilot.

Bing Co Pilot defines Binabaylan

We are already in our Training Center at Bahay Siadtala in Taguig City to prepare for tomorrows first day of Class. I woke up early and check my Emails and upon checking I browse at Bing.Com and my mind plays if Bing knows what is Binabaylan. Of course, just like Google it knows almost everything, but what I am amazed on what it says are the following:

Binabaylan is a term associated with the indigenous healing practices of the Philippines. Let’s explore its
significance:

  1. Binabaylan:
The term binabaylan refers to a shaman, healer, or spiritual leader in Filipino indigenous
    cultures.
These individuals play a vital role in their communities, acting as intermediaries between the physical
    world and the spiritual realm.
Binabaylans are deeply connected to nature, ancestral spirits, and ancient wisdom. Their practices
involve healing, divination, and maintaining harmony within the community.
The role of a binabaylan is multifaceted, encompassing spiritual guidance, herbal medicine, rituals,
    and ceremonies.
Historically, babaylans were often women, but in modern times, both men and women can take on
    this sacred role.
  2. Healing Arts and Practices:
Binabaylans utilize various traditional and natural healing arts:
Hilot: A form of massage and energy healing that involves touch, herbal remedies, and
    manipulation of energy pathways.
Magtatawas: Practitioners who perform tawas, a form of divination using water and candles to
    diagnose illnesses or spiritual disturbances.
Manggagamot: Healers who use herbs, chants, and rituals to address physical and spiritual
    ailments.
Albularyo: Folk healers who combine indigenous knowledge with Catholic elements.
Their practices are deeply rooted in animism, ancestor veneration, and indigenous spirituality .
  3. Revival and Recognition:
In recent years, there has been a revival of interest in binabaylan practices, especially among those
    seeking alternative healing methods.
Efforts are being made to preserve and honor these ancient traditions, recognizing their cultural
    significance and wisdom.
Binabaylans continue to serve their communities, bridging the gap between tradition and modernity.
In summary, binabaylans are revered as guardians of ancestral knowledge, healers, and spiritual guides, embodying the rich cultural heritage of the Philippines. 🌿

I am very honored that our efforts are being recognized even it is only online. But our work in Touching People lives will continue until we have #HealTheWorldWithHilot.

Nature Care is what Hilot all about

Understanding what is all about is what fuels our activity here in Hilot Academy of Binabaylan. We need to Educate the people of what Hilot can do in their lives through our Trainings and Free Hilot Session at Luntiang Aghama Natural Divine Arts Shrine of Healing Inc. and Bahay SiAdTala. Maintaining Life or Optimum Health and Wellness must be secured in the persons body. When I say a person that goes from Newly born up to old age. Even couples who were not able to conceive a baby, we help so that these couple could obtain their goal.

Life is part of Nature, so as Caring should be Natural to us. Just like how we breathe, we Inspire, so as, we expire. It is a Give and Take process.

Whenever we stand besides the tree, its branches and leaves cover us and protect and comfort us from the direct heat of the sunlight. The trees emits its own energies by giving us Fresh Oxygen and absorbs in them the Carbon Dioxide that we breathe out.

We can find care from Nature, and we should learn from Nature how care from one Another.

Unlearning to what we have taught to us 500 years ago.

Our Graduate show this picture in his timeline and he explains that he is showing what he have learned from us to his Family members, but when it comes to TAWAS they were afraid and he explained to them that it was our ancestral Filipino Diagnostic tool.

And I say, that was Fine because it is hard to unlearned what we have been taught about TAWAS 500 years ago. Only those who have open mind can understand and benefit from our Ancestral Healing Arts and Sciences.

Manghihilot are Ordained Ministers

Hilot is the Medicine for the Common People. It is not a luxurious treatment that been offered in a Hospitality based industries promoted by Wellness Tourism.

Indeed, our Treatment modality can be world class, but Authentic Hilot Choose it to be affordable for the Common People who earns below minimum that spends their earning just for their Family to have food in their table and excluding Health Care on their Budget.

So please, give outmost respect to our Manghihilot and not sexualize them. They relearn the our Ancestral Healing Arts and Science in order to serve Humanity in preserving your Health and not your Sexual Fantasies.

Uplifting our Role as Manghihilot through Hilot Academy

Last February 14, 2024, while we are preparing to go back to the Shrine in Bulacan, I received a call from some one whom I will not name at this moment asking for a Partnership with us. Though this person is the Head of HR coming from a prominent Hospitality Company that owns different Spa Resort in Batanggas, Palawan and Boracay. It seems this person looks like a Pot of Gold as their CEO is also the CEO of a famous Rural Bank and Microsavings Bank in the Philippines.

I confirm my Identity to the caller and listen to her request. The HR Head ask us to have partnership with them to train their people in providing Philippine Traditional Hilot as they found out that our Principles resonates and aligns to their mission. But while the HR Head talks about their company, I cut her out by pushing her to different entity such as going to TESDA or PITAHC instead. And even recommend the School of former Tourism Secretary Mina Gabor instead of us.

I told her my Principles and Philosophy that the Practice of Hilot should not be under Hospitality Industry but it should be under Health Care. But the problem within the Healthcare Industry, they are separating the Spiritual Care provided by Hilot but instead limit it to Physical care.

So in terms of Licensing and Accrediting a practitioner of Hilot, it will be unconstitutional as our Constitution guaranteed to us the Free Practice of our Religious Belief and Practices which includes the Spiritual Aspect of Hilot.

But now as the Practice of Hilot invokes Spirituality, there are some group of Manghihilot tries to Colonize the practice of Hilot by introducing Vegetarianism and Veganism and not only that but it mandated their practitioners to live a Vegan Lifestyle which is not customary to the Hilot Healing Tradition.

So where Hilot should be?

Technically, Hilot should be under the Health Care Industry instead of Hospitality Industry. Though, Hilot is our Indigenous Traditional Medicine which unfortunately despite of the recognition of World Health Organization, our Philippine Department of Health through Philippine Institute of Traditional Alternative Health Care (PITAHC) are not working to promote our own Indigenous Traditional Health Care practices but instead they are more leaning on Acupuncture, Ayurveda, Chiropractic, Homeopathy, Naturopathy and others which is not indigenous and are Foreign to our Country.

The Knowledge of Hilot are already instilled into our Blood. It only needs to reactivate and re-cultivate by reminding them of this innate knowledge of healing arts and science that we have from our Ancestors. Therefore, Hilot Academy does not teach, train nor instruct people in performing Hilot, but instead Hilot Academy facilitates the remembering process of each individual to resurface and reawaken their own knowledge and skills on healing themselves and caring for others.

But the Demand for Traditional Health Care provider are rising, and most of these demand comes from the Hospitality Industry on which we are invited to provide. Since the demand is High and the supply is low, we might give a counter demand in order to protect and preserve our knowledge on Indigenous and Traditional Health Care.

So what we will do are the following:

Facilitate the remembering process of Philippine Indigenous and Traditional Health Care (Healing Arts and Science) to Individual or Group of Individuals on a condition that:

  1. An individual or group of Individual who successfully reawakened their knowledge, skills and abilities on becoming a Hilot Binabaylan should be employed and receive compensation in accordance to the service they provide whether it be Hourly, Daily, Weekly or on a Monthly Basis.
  2. Upon satisfaction of the Service, we demand regular employment of our Hilot Binabaylan in a company that will receive a minimum monthly compensation with benefits such as SSS, Pagibig and Pagibig contribution in accordance to the law of the land.
  3. The practice of Hilot Binabaylan seeks integration with National Health Care Delivery System and hoping that a regular employee who had a sick leave could be allowed to have a Hilot Treatment Certification just like if an employee present medical certificate to their employer.
  4. The Practice of Hilot Binabaylan should be provided an insurance grant in protecting the practitioners so as the patient who receive treatment from us.

From this point of time, we will work hard to uplift the status of Manghihilot and we seek help to appropriate individuals who come across to our webpage and use it in their presentation and research. I believe that Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University of La Union have come across to our website and have used our content in their presentation in explaining Hilot at Philippine Institute of Traditional Alternative Health Care. And I believe there are other more who uses our site as Reference. I pray one day, we could meet and discuss the Future of Hilot while we have strength to do so. Let us not wait for that time to come that the Art and Science of Hilot will be forgotten.
