It’s been since 2019 when our Hilot Binabaylan of Lafayette, California had made request to learn Hilot Binabaylan Techniques and on February 5-14, 2024, that his dream of becoming a Hilot Binabaylan manifested. Though like what I always say during the training, we are not the one who makes an individual a Hilot Binabaylan ; just like in the Principles of Healing, that all of us has the ability to heal our selves. Our role as a trainer is just what Kai Bautista, which is our Hilot Binabaylan of Glendale, California have described, as trainer/teacher, we are like an alarm clock that awaken to knowledge of healing that sleeps within us; we are just like a guide that reminds an individual of the dormant knowledge of healing that lies within us all.
Such as on the case of Walter Sanches, he came with a knowledge of healing already as he work as a Massage Therapist on a Physical Therapy Clinic and Acupuncture Clinic in the US; so our Course that he took with us becomes a refresher and align his knowledge to the Philippine Indigenous Traditional Healing. All the skills of being a Hilot Binabaylan comes out naturally for him and he even take the challenge of doing Tandok or Hijama and did it to me.
Walter is courageous enough in performing Tandok which i am very happy for him and probably among other Hilot Binabaylan that train with us it is only Walter Sanches that could perform Tandok.

Mentorship Certification Program
When you take our class in the past, what you have received from us is just a Certificate as Hilot Binabaylan Practitioner. And your duties and responsibilities are only limited in providing Philippine Traditional and Indigenous Health Care into your Community. But through our Mentorship Certification Program, this will enable you to share your knowledge and expertise on the practice of Hilot Binabaylan that may initiate an Individual or group and be ordained as Hilot Binabaylan.
Requirements
Hilot Mentorship Certification is an upgrade opportunity for all of our Hilot Binabaylan Practitioners to earn extra income by becoming a Mentor & Assessor/ Evaluator. So, it is important requirement before you become a Certified Hilot Binabaylan Mentor & Assessor/ Evaluator is that you are a Hilot Binabaylan Practitioner for about 3 years. That means if you have taken the course on 2019, you are qualified to take this course. And it is important that you practice all the skills competencies prescribed in order to become a Hilot Binabaylan Practitioner or you can be a mentor of a specific skills. Such as in skills in the above-mentioned skills competencies.
How will it work?
Mentors candidate must fill up a self-evaluation form before application. It is necessary for mentors to be expert on the field that you are going to mentor or share. It is ideal for us that you should be expert in all field as Hilot Binabaylan so that you could also work as an Evaluator. In order for you to be a Certified Trainer, you have to share your knowledge of the skills you are to mentor during the regular class of Hilot Binabaylan Training and the Trainer (which is me, lakay and Mam Nora) will supervise you in co-training or mentoring. So, that means you have to attend the regular 9 days class and master each subject we teach from Hilot Diagnostics to Hilot Suplementation. Upon completion of training of the regular class of 9 days, additional days will be allotted to you for the trainer’s feedback as mentor and then the awarding of Certificate as Mentor. Upon awarding of Certificate, you are only allowed to mentor a skill which you are being certified depending on your performance if you qualify to become a trainer. If you are qualified on all skills level, you will become a certified trainer or if you only have few skills, you will just be a mentor.
If you want to be evaluated as mentor or trainer, you may bring a student to enroll on our 9 days and we will give you chance to share your knowledge and experience as Hilot Binabaylan by becoming a mentor, co trainer with supervision.
Technical Education and Skills Development Authority or TESDA is an attached Agency of Philippine Department of Labor and Employment which certifies an Individual who have acquired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities on the Qualification and Competencies of being a Hilot (Wellness Massage) Provider. Whereas Philippine Institute of Traditional Alternative Health Care or Pitahc is an attached agency of Philippine Department of Health which register accredited and certified Hilot Practitioner. But these 2 attached agencies of our government advocates the practice of hilot for hospitality service rather than health care. And we here at Hilot Academy of Binabaylan advocates Hilot as a Holistic Health Care Modality that includes Care for the Soul which is inseparable to the Human Body who is alive.

The reason why he ask us because he want to set up a Spa as his business. Though I refer him to look for TESDA school that offers Massage Training so as inform him about the Policy of Philippine Department of Health towards the Practice of Massage in the Philippines. I also encourage him to set up a Hilot Center instead of a Spa. Just like in the practice of Hilot and Massage, there is a big difference between the two modalities of healing. But, in fact, massage is just one modality that is performed in Hilot. And for a wider view, Hilot is about caring and its practitioners are move to heal with compassion and not through compensation.
In order to provide a Hilot Treatment, a person must undergo a thorough Hilot Diagnostic Procedures. It means people who will have Hilot Treatment will not just come to have a Hilot and be relaxed just like in Spa, the Therapist will just provide what their customer want according to their menu. But in Hilot, we the provider will determine what is the right treatment the patient will receive upon determination of the Hilot Diagnostic Results.
This is why at Hilot Academy of Binabaylan, we are upgrading our curriculum so that we can move forward in professionalizing our Practice as Philippine Traditional Indigenous Medicine Practitioner. We need to be precise on what we want to call our selves because as of this moment 2024 the Philippine Government has an Agency known as Philippine Institute of Traditional Alternative Medicine or most popularly known as PITAHC. And we could understand it that the Agency under Philippine Department of Health should promote Philippine Traditional Medicine (as we know before as Hilot), but what they are promoting instead of Hilot are other foreign Traditional Medicine that is present in the Philippines such as Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Homeopathy and Naturopathy. You can see it clearly in their social media account on which Traditional Medicine Practices they are promoting. Such as what they have posted in their facebook page on December 11, 2023:

What we see in their actions is that they promote what they know well and work well with the one that could serve them well. But what is really happening now, Philippine Traditional Medicine which is Hilot has been set aside but instead focuses on foreign Traditional Medicine which they can market and give them earn a lot. February 2023, I made a call for fund raising in helping us construct our Training Center in Taguig. And fortunately by April, we started our first Hilot Binabaylan Training which produced 6 graduates that can competently provide Hilot Treatment to the countries they came from. And as 2023 ends, we have decided to welcome the New Year at Bahay SiAdTala.
Together with Lakay’s Family, I invited my siblings over Bahay SiAdTala to welcome 2024 and celebrated whole night long. And on daytime, we went Galivanting at Bonifacio Global City and experience little Italy through the Gondola Boat at Venice Grand Canal Mall. As a saying that what you do on the first day of the year, it will be the same thing that will happen throughout the year. I’m glad that I have celebrate it with my siblings and for the whole year we are going to have more galivanting moments.
But, now its the 3rd day of January and this means work and classes have resumed. So, with these I want to inform everyone that our 1st day of class this 2024 will start on January 18 up to January 27, 2024. This will be a 9 days class of Hilot Binabaylan, Remedial Hilot and Sibulan Adlaw Tala Baybayin Mystic Oracle Training. Then our next class will open on the following dates:

The month of May is a special month to me as it is my Birth Month and this year, I will turn 46 years old. Though I am in my middle age and have suffered early from stroke. But the last year of 2023 is a real blessings as i have overcome the limitations it bring as the world breaks free from Pandemic. And talking about adventure, we plan to deliver an Interfaith Prayer in continues Healing of the Philippines on June 12, 2024 in celebration of 126 years of Declaration of Philippine Independence that we usually observe by performing the Freedom Redemption: Blessings all the nations of the world. And we will also attempt to manifest our long time dream to deliver an Interfaith Prayer during the Philippine President State of the Nation Address that usually happen on the 4th Monday of July and this year it will happen on July 22, 2024. And as we complete this mission, we will fly to Danville Calfornia from July 24- up to September 10, 2024 to conduct Hilot Training there.

Year 2023 has been a door opener for all of us as it allows us all to break out from the sting of Pandemic and release us all from the limitations of Lock Down. Within this year we as pandemic end up, we also end our Online Class to allow Face 2 Face and In Person Classes to happen.

Lani Brown took the Non-Contact Hilot: Mind and Spirit work in mastering our Philippine Traditional Diagnostic & Divination System. By February, 2 Australian Besties came to us and took the Masidhing Kamagaral Class. One came from Queensland, Australia which is Argo Theoharis and the other is Nawa Sybico from Tazmania, Australia. Masidhi Hilot Training is a 3 days orientation class that trains them to perform tawas, suob, bentusa and basic hilot touch manipulation techniques. We conducted their Training at International Insitute of Rural Reconstruction in Brgy. Biga 2, Silang, Cavite, Philippines.
Then on March, Hilot Hands from London came to visit us in the Shrine as she reach out to us and ask for our Blessings to establish school in London on which School of Kapwa was established. Jutheanne Cruz was lone Filipino providing Hilot in London and dream of training people that will provide Hilot Treatment. In her one-day visit, we provide her quick lesson review on our Traditional Hilot Binabaylan method, it’s just like a refresher course to her so that she could Identify what is authentic Hilot into modernized and westernized form. We are Praying for the Success of School of Kapwa as Hilot in London is already accredited as a Diploma Course.
An on April, we started to utilize Bahay SiAdTala in Taguig which was newly constructed, and it was very convenient as it is near the airport that we could easily pick up our traveling students from the airport and book them their room accommodations at CPG Estate Goldbergs Hotel in Brgy. South Signal Village Taguig. From April to December, Red Doorz Hotel or CPG Estate Goldbergs Hotel have become a home of our students. So that after training, they could have a comfortable bed to rest. Their room is fully airconditioned and has Wi-Fi access; and their bathroom has hot and cold shower. And every morning we pick them up in their hotel through an Ebike and bring them to our training center for their breakfast and send them back after Dinner.
April was the Busiest Class as we accommodate Maria Bustamante, Grace Mabulay and Kai Pfiefer; then after them we also welcome Carolina Nimmer. In their class, we have found a different effect of Hilot as they experience it as Hilot Touch could resurface the emotional pain from their past traumas and even in their past life. Indeed, that the Healing Art of Hilot always amaze me as we continue to embrace and promote it for the future generations.
Then on May 10- the day of my Birthday, we have picked up Kira Tejada at the Airport from Canada. Kira is a Tattoo Artist and has an ancestry from Aklan. It is amazing that in this present age, all the healing modalities of Hilot that has been broken down in the past due to persecution and conversion to Catholicism are now being brought back together and be known as Hilot Binabaylan as we reintroduce it back to the World.

I though Kira will be the last student for the year, but Christine came by July 11-20 and took the 9 days Hilot Binabaylan, Remedial Hilot & SiAdTala Baybayin Mystic Oracle Training. And what I did not realize, Christine’s full name is Quynh Vy Cao as she mentioned that she was born in the US and currently work in Vietnam, but in reality, she was a Vietnamese- American. Since many who comes to us are Filipino with foreign blood, but Quynh Vy is a Vietnamese- American that has a big Heart for the Filipino. Her Hilot Training with us re affirms our Hilot Principle that in Healing, we do not discriminate, we provide our service to everyone whether they are male/female or any gender identity/orientation/expression, nationality, religion, political affiliation, age, etc. Through Quynh Vy, i have learned also some vietnamese culture and see the similarity that we have from each other. And lastly by September, Rio Heradura who is graduate of our Non Contact Hilot Mind and Spirit Class from London came to take the Maaram Hilot Training which is a 2 day orientation workshop on the practice of Hilot. I am so blessed that the ones that I meet online during the pandemic, now I have meet in person. It is my perpetual gratitude to everyone for continuously supporting our efforts in preserving and promoting our very own Ancestral Healing Tradition. A neighbor drop by bringing his Cousins family asking for Hilot to their 1 year old Child. Being a Hilot Center along the road inside Francisco Homes 1 Subdivision, we are accessible to all people that may pass by our small home specially we offer our services on donation base. The young child always had fever every night and they do not have money for a medical doctor check up. Though I recommend them visiting the Barangay Health Center for more professional care but they have choose to have Hilot with us.
Baby Hilot
New born babies that is usually on their first year of life existence are more reliant on their mother specially when they are still on breast feeding. Aside from palpating the baby, we also need to investigate the breast feeding mom, as the nutrient intake that the mother’s eat will be passed along to the Babies nourishment. I usually allow the mother to hold their baby to avoid them crying so loud as crying might add up malady to the child such as the wind syndrome or Pilay Hangin. In this child case as I hold them, I felt coldness all throughout his body. The child is sweating cold just like a cold water that been poured out from a water bottle that came out from a freezer. I ask the mother if the baby do poop and pee, and the mother said the baby has problem on defecation so as peeing so little. With that we stimulate the kidney point at the lumbar area of the baby. So as we rub the chest and stomach of the baby to bring relief. We also give instruction to the mother to watch also her diet so as their behavior as Husband and Wife, as the Baby is sensitive to the emotions that they are feeling. And this emotions are becoming blockage to the child that might give them an emotional trauma that blocks the kidney and bladder.
After Treating the Baby, the Father also ask for Hilot as he always experience stomach cramps. And his condition was confirmed when I do Pulse Reading Analysis as his right pulse was very weak. The Father usually works in a Bakery and he woke up by 3:00 AM everyday, and usually he skips meal because of his work and financial constraint. Being a bakery assistant does not pay well but he works hard so that he could give supply to his mother and child as a new Family. He also have acid reflux and advice him to burn coconut shell and powder its charcoal to tame the acid.
