On June 7, 2021- we will be opening again our Google Classroom for a new class on Non Contact Hilot: Mind and Spirit Working. People now can enroll with us by clicking on the link and fill up our registration form.
This class has 3 Learning Units that will introduce you to Hilot as Philippine Traditional Medicine. Hilot as a whole is a complete healing system employed by our Filipino ancestors for diagnostic, preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative healthcare. In Hilot Academy of Binabaylan, we divide the role of Manghihilot into 3 function: the first is Diagnostic or Magtatawas/ Magaanito which the Non Contact Hilot: Mind and Spirit Working class provides certification on this skill level; the next is Manggagamot and lastly is the albularyo course. As an individual accomplished acquiring all these skill level, Hilot Academy of Binabaylan grant the person a title of Hilot Binabaylan.
Since we are all in a Pandemic Situation social distancing and travel ban has been implemented, we could not provide the Hilot Binabaylan Training Course for the students to take as it requires personal contact/ Face-to-face learning interaction and one-on-one apprenticeship/mentoring in order for the individual to be properly initiated. Our last initiate for the Hilot ng Aghamang Binabaylan Training Course is Angelica “Kai” Bautista of Glendale, California who took the full course on February 2020 and she almost stuck up in the Philippines because General Quarantine has been immediately implemented on March of 2020. We are thankful to the Philippine Department of Tourism who helped Kai to be sent home safely in the US.
