Our Manghihilot

Our Certified and Ordained Hilot Binabaylan Practitioners are composed of our Hilot Binabaylan Council (HBc) which are all ordained Doctor of Divinity and Ministry in Indigenous Filipino Spirituality and Indigenous Filipino Medicine (D.D.Min. IFS IFM) and the Hilot Binabaylan Network which consist of fully ordained and Certified Masters in Ministry on Hilot Binabaylan Practice (M.Min. HBp.).

OUR HILOT BINABAYLAN COUNCIL

The Hilot Binabaylan Council serves as the Founding Body of the Hilot Academy of Binabaylan, established to uphold and safeguard the sacred traditions of Indigenous Filipino Medicine as advocated by Luntiang Aghama. Rooted in the spiritual and healing wisdom of our ancestors, the Council ensures that the practice and application of Hilot Binabaylan remain faithful to its indigenous origins and aligned with the sacred teachings of the Binabaylan tradition.

As the governing and visionary body, the Hilot Binabaylan Council is responsible for:

  • Developing the Training Curriculum for Hilot Binabaylan practitioners, ensuring that each module reflects the spiritual, cultural, and therapeutic dimensions of traditional Filipino healing.
  • Establishing the Code of Ethics that guides the moral and spiritual conduct of Hilot practitioners, emphasizing respect for life, harmony with nature, and service to the community.
  • Setting Accreditation Standards for Hilot Tanglaw Mentors and Ministerial Centers, ensuring that all recognized institutions and mentors uphold the integrity and authenticity of the Hilot Binabaylan practice.

The Council operates as a joint board composed of representatives from Templong Anituhan Inc. and Bahay SiAdtala Binabaylan Inc., forming a unified spiritual and educational authority. This collaboration reflects the sacred partnership between the religious and ministerial arms of the Binabaylan tradition, ensuring that both the spiritual and practical aspects of Hilot are nurtured and preserved.

Through its work, the Hilot Binabaylan Council continues to be a beacon of indigenous wisdom, guiding the next generations of healers, spiritual leaders, and cultural bearers in the path of holistic wellness and ancestral reverence.

From April 26, 2016- Hilot Academy of Binabaylan have conferred proficiency and competency on Hilot ng Aghamang Binabaylan to the following persons which composes the Hilot Binabaylan Network.

Hilot Binabaylan Network

The Hilot Binabaylan Network is a dynamic and sacred community composed of graduates who have successfully completed the required knowledge, skills, and abilities in the practice of Hilot Binabaylan Healing. These individuals have undergone rigorous training rooted in the spiritual, cultural, and therapeutic traditions of Indigenous Filipino Medicine, as taught by the Hilot Academy of Binabaylan.

Purpose and Role

The purpose of the Hilot Binabaylan Network is to:

  • Foster Unity and Collaboration among certified Hilot Binabaylan practitioners, creating a strong support system for continuous learning, spiritual growth, and professional development.
  • Promote Ethical and Authentic Practice of Hilot Binabaylan Healing, ensuring that all members uphold the Code of Ethics and Standards set by the Hilot Binabaylan Council.
  • Serve as Cultural Bearers and Healers, actively engaging in community service, wellness programs, and spiritual ministry that reflect the values of Luntiang Aghama and the ancestral wisdom of the Binabaylan tradition.
  • Strengthen the Recognition and Legitimacy of Hilot Binabaylan as a sacred healing art and spiritual vocation, both within the Philippines and globally.

As a living network of healers, the Hilot Binabaylan Network embodies the spirit of “Paglilingkod, Pagpapagaling, at Pagpapakabanal”—Service, Healing, and Sanctification—carrying forward the sacred mission of the Binabaylan in today’s world.

Magtatawas/ Pangutanahan/ Paganituhan/Pangatauhan Practitioners

From June 2020 we have open up a new Course which is the Non Contact Hilot: Mind and Spirit Class which certifies the following to be proficient in the Art of Hilot Diagnosis and Divination. This Certification and Ordination allows them to take the role of the Binabaylan as a Mystic.

MASIDHING MANGHIHILOT

2023 has been a year of reopening the world from its confinement due to the pandemic of Covid 19. And with this we have created an opportunity to learn Hilot in person even just for 3 days and we call it as Masidhing Hilot which is an intense and comprehensive training that focus on providing Hilot Diagnostic (Tawas), The practice of Suob and Palina Ritual, Performing Tandok/ Bentusa (Fire Cupping) and the Hilot Touch Manipulation Techniques. And we held our First Masidhing Hilot Training at International Institute of Rural Reconstruction at Brgy. Biga 2, Silang, Cavite, Philippines.

Accredited Hilot Tanglaw Mentors

Hilot Tanglaw are light bearer of the Sacred Wisdom of our Filipino Healing Arts and Sciences. They are expected to Guide the non-initiate to experience our healing, so as to shed light on our practice to those who wish to be initiated to the path in becoming a Hilot Binabaylan. 

As Hilot Tanglaw they are only allowed to teach the skills on the Qualification of being a Hilot Binabaylan, so you are also expected to be a Masters of those skills that is ready to provide treatment and mentor an individual who wish to be initiated. 

Currently, we are so proud to have 6 official Hilot Tanglaw Mentors that could provide their mentoring services in Hilot Binabaylan and they are Apu Adman Aghama, yours truly as Punong Tanglaw; Lakay Magbaya Aghama which heads the Spiritual Healing Arts Department and Bahay SiAdTala; Bae Akuma Aghama who is our International Affairs Relations Director and Admistrator of Kapwa Wellness & Mystic Goddess, Lorenzo Pau of Hawaii and Liza Bustillo of California.
