Hilot Academy of Binabaylan envisions to be the Leading Learning Institution providing Authentic Filipino Indigenous Traditional Medicine by committing ourselves to preserve and advance the Indigenous Filipino Healing Arts and Spiritual Practices. We envision a world where the ancient wisdom of Hilot is embraced and integrated into contemporary Healthcare, promoting a Balanced and Harmonious Life for All.
Hilot is a Holistic Health Care Approach where it is categorized by the World Health Organization as Indigenous Traditional Medicine on which it is the sum total of knowledges and practices, whether explicable or not, used in Diagnosing, preventing or eliminating physical, mental and social diseases. This knowledge or practice may rely exclusively on past experience and observation handed down orally or in writing from generation to generation. These practices are native to the Philippines on which we practice. Majority of the treatment modality of Hilot has been practiced at the Primary Healthcare Level.
